Asian hornet nest removal

Safe, insured and respectful of other insects. Fixed price upfront, no surprises.

Active secondary nest of the Asian hornet in a willow tree

You don't remove an Asian hornet nest yourself. When disturbed, dozens to hundreds of workers defend at once — they can target up to 5 metres away and sting multiple times. People with wasp allergies, children and pets are at greatest risk.

We remove nests at any height: from shed roofs at 2 metres to oak crowns at 20+ metres. We work with full protective gear, telescopic equipment and methods that target only the Asian hornet — sparing European hornets, wasps and bees.

After removal we do a final check, advise on prevention and offer optional seasonal monitoring so a new nest doesn't form unnoticed.

FAQ

Questions about nest removal

How long does nest removal take?
Actual removal usually takes 30–90 minutes. Preparation (locating, setup) adds time. Typical job complete within 2 hours.
Will the nest come back?
A removed nest doesn't return in the same spot soon, but new queens may build a new nest nearby. We always advise spring monitoring.
What if the nest is high in a tree?
We have telescopic equipment that works at significant height. For extreme heights (>20m) or in urban areas we sometimes bring in a cherry picker — communicated upfront.
Is treatment safe for my pets and kids?
Yes. We use targeted methods and ensure the area is safe during and shortly after. We give clear instructions on when everyone can return outside.
Do you use biodiversity-friendly methods?
Yes — we only kill Asian hornets, spare European hornets (protected) and bees, and use minimal agents. No blind extermination.
